3DVIP respects the rights of the artists and studios whose work makes this field possible. If material published here infringes your copyright, we will act on a properly submitted notice.
How to send a takedown notice
Send your notice to dmca@3dvip.org. To let us act on it without delay, the notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. Where several works are covered by a single notice, a representative list is enough.
- The full URL of every page on 3dvip.org you are reporting. A notice that names only the site, or only a category, cannot be acted on because we cannot tell which file you mean.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.
What happens next
We review notices in the order they arrive and aim to respond within 2 business days. When a notice is complete and appears valid, we remove or disable access to the reported material, and we notify the user who posted it, passing on a copy of the notice.
We keep a record of every notice and every removal.
If you believe your material was removed in error
Send a counter-notice to the same address. It must identify the removed material and its previous location, state under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, give your contact details, and include your consent to the jurisdiction of a court where you reside — or, if you are outside the United States, a court where our service provider is located.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material after a waiting period, unless the original complainant informs us that they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly post infringing material are terminated. We also decline further submissions from sources that have generated repeated valid notices.
Before you file
Filing a notice for material you do not hold rights to, or misrepresenting infringement, carries legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, including costs and legal fees. If you are unsure whether a use is infringing, seek legal advice first.
